...Akko, you're allowed to stay somewhere free of rent for the first few months. You don't need to stay at the welcome center.

[ There is no way Akko can survive on her own. But inviting her to stay runs the risk of certain things being revealed that Elphelt would rather keep secret at the risk of ruining this. Although Akko has yet to use the F-word (the word is cooking--er, I mean 'friend'.), she is Elphelt's best friend here!!!

[ Deciding right now Akko started this a quarter to midnight because she is Akko, so Elphelt has no qualms flying there in the cover of darkness, so in no time at all Akko gets another message. ]

Akko, I'm here!

[ Akko runs out of the welcome centre with her luggage. It's a giant sack full of her belongings that she arrived in, including her witch uniform. Among these things are random snacks, fruits and veggies. There's also stacks of cash she picked up from always looking in dumpsters (could it be someone's drug money??). Lastly, there's one loose bar of soap. She's ready. ]

Let's do this.

[ Well, Akko said something about her shiny rod, so Elphelt is going to avoid asking her about her sack. ]

I'm ready.

[ She is ready to lead Akko on the walk back when she stops and thinks. ]

...Hey, before we go. You never told me. Why do you want to fly so badly?

I didn't tell you? Well, it's because I wanna be a great witch like Shiny Chariot. Someday I wanna use my magic to spread cheer and laughter around the world! Ah, I'm not sure if that answers your question, but... well, look at it this way.

[ She smiles confidently, trying to make sense of this herself. ]

Why do I wanna fly? Because I was born to - just like a bird with wings! Is that so strange?

So...flying is part of your dream to be like this other witch?

[ Is everything she does an attempt to emulate this Shiny Chariot person? She thought there may be something special about flight in and of itself. But she finds that single mindedness endearing...as well as relatable. ]

Hmm. It wouldn't be the same as flying on your own, I know, but...would you like me to give you a ride?

[ Akko hitches a ride from her friends all the time, there's no scenario in which she would mind that kind of offer! Besides, the fact that Elphelt can fly so effortlessly is kind of awesome to Akko. ]

Would you really?! What happened to hiding your flying powers?

Well, you already know about them. It's dark and late, so I doubt anyone would see us in the air. I think I can get away with it.

[ And this is her first ever opportunity to use her powers to put a smile on someone's face, which is not something she can resist. She wants to make people smile just like Akko does!!! ]

Okay, Akko. Hold onto your bag as tightly as you can and let me know when you're ready.
