[Elphelt spends her time waiting by cooing over Zwei and feeding him miscellaneous snacks. He probably won't be getting anything from the cafe, so no appetite to ruin, right? She really should hold back, but she cannot say no to him.
Elphelt steps out to meet Yang with Zwei at her heels. She gives Yang a salute.]
Yes, sir, ready to go!
[A pause. Her face contorts into an indescribable expression.]
--Uh...
[Her brain is trying to process that thing Yang is wearing. There is so much to process that Elphelt would encounter an error and need to reboot if not for being immediately being distracted by Yang's bike, which is cool enough to totally tune out that sweater.]
Are you and...me...?
[She points to Yang, then herself, then the bike. Is she going to get to go for a ride?]
[Apparently it takes Yang about as long to figure out what Elphelt's getting at as it did for Elphelt to process her sweater, but the minute she does she looks a little sheepish.]
Oh! Uh...well, the cafe I was thinking of isn't very far from here...but...
[She mulls this over a minute before giving Elphelt a curious look.]
Do you...wanna drive there?
[It is Elphelt's birthday, so she might as well give her the option. Yang's not even worried about getting Zwei to travel with them; if riding on the roof of a train or being mailed in a tube didn't phase that dog, a short motorcycle ride certainly won't.]
[Elphelt nods enthusiastically. Thank goodness that, no matter how down she is, distracting her with something fun is real easy.]
Yes, yes! We can take the scenic route. I don't mind.
[Pretty sure that is not Elphelt's call, but the prospect of getting to ride a motorcycle is too fun for her to realize she may be getting a little presumptuous. She is the birthday girl, though, so she is allowed.
Elphelt puts her hands to her cheeks and closes her eyes. There are sparkles all around her.]
I have never ridden one before, but I have thought about riding off into the sunset with someone. Just the two of us leaving all our cares behind us as we race off chasing the daylight...
[Elphelt scoops Zwei into her arms before scurrying over to the bike, waiting for Yang to get on and start it. Thankfully there will be enough padding for Zwei to avoid being too scrunched. Stuck between a pair of airbags or not, though...]
[Yang swings a leg over her bike, shifting it so she can lift the kick-stand and make sure it's stable enough for Elphelt and Zwei to get on. Once she's sure, she pats the space behind her as signal.]
He'll be fine. We're not going too far or too fast.
[Zwei's a good passenger! He's not wriggling at all while Elphelt carries him or when she gets on the bike, his tongue happily lolled out already in anticipation of a ride.]
Just lean in close enough that you can keep him secured between us while your hands are holding onto my waist.
[One of these days, she'll have to try and add secondary hand-holds onto this thing somehow the way good ol' Bumblebee has. She hasn't had much occasion for passengers lately but it'd be nice to have.]
[After petting Zwei's head, Elphelt slides onto the seat. She slides her arms around Yang's waist and leans in close, chest against Yang's back and pinning Zwei in place. It's...cramped, but she won't complain.]
Okay. I think Zwei and I are ready to go.
[She wiggles a little to adjust herself. She definitely takes up more space than Weiss.]
[Zwei's answer is an exuberant bark. He'll be a good doggo and stay in place, although he can't quite help his tail wagging from excitement.
Yang meanwhile patiently waits for everyone to get settled before revving her bike to life, glancing a second over her shoulder to check one more time that everybody seems to be in place.]
We won't be going very fast but hold on tight anyway, okay?
[She hasn't lost a passenger yet and she doesn't want to ruin her record now.
Warning given, she revs her bike again before kicking off and slowly motoring away.]
[She can hold tight, for sure. If anything, the problem may be that Zwei runs the risk of being squished from the tight embrace. This is nice. It's like a hug, but from behind and with a dog stuck in the middle.]
Ah, this is cool. I'll be able to say I've ridden a motorcycle.
[She doesn't mind going slow. If she cared at all about getting anywhere fast, she would just fly. This is for the novelty.]

[And she immediately goes back to normal.]
Oh, um, going around a few blocks is good, too.

Yang can't help but smile regardless, giving a small chuckle. Elphelt is as Elphelt does.]
I don't know about riding off into the sunset but a few blocks I can do.
[She starts heading back towards her bike to ready it.]
I am gonna need you to help hold onto Zwei while we're driving though. He should be fine if he's kinda sandwiched safely between us.

the Holy SpiritZwei" rule, sorry Elph.]no subject
