[Nanako feels super guilty that she's a day late on this, but things kind of got a little crazy for her and Yu between the holiday party and then the actual holiday of Christmas. Still, she wants Miss Elphie to know that she cares about her, and that Nanako thinks she absolutely deserves a birthday.]
[So, around mid-afternoon, Elphelt will receive a knock at her door. When she comes to answer, she won't find anyone on her doorstep, but instead a fairly small, square box with an envelope sitting on top. On the envelope is written: "To: Miss Elphie! Happy Birthday!" Inside the envelope is a folded piece of paper, a home-made birthday card! It features a hand-drawn picture of some balloons floating over a big, pink birthday cake. The card reads: "Happy Birthday to one of the nicest, most pretty ladies in the whole wide world! Big Bro and I hope you like this birthday cake! It's chocolate with vanilla frosting. I hope that's alright? There's already candles in it, too, so be sure to light them, make a wish, and then blow them out before you eat, okay?" At the bottom, the card is signed "Nanako and Yu."]
[And sure enough, inside the box is a rather competently decorated white and red frosted cake. In pink icing, the words "Happy Birthday Miss Elphie" are scrawled on the top. Sure enough, there are even candles stuck into it, too. Since neither Yu or Nanako knew how old Elphelt was turning, it seems they instead went for a simple design with the candles in a circle around the edge of the cake.]
[At first, Elphelt is surprised and confused, thinking that someone may have just gotten the wrong address or something, only for her to notice the package at the last moment.
It doesn't take long for her to read the note and realize what's inside, and she quickly starts crying.

She will now die for this child.
And probably eat this cake in one sitting.]
