Character Canon: Guilty Gear
Canon Point: Post-STRIVE
Age: 1
Crime: Accessory to genocide. Her mother is partly responsible for the total destruction of Japan, the massacre of others, and the attempted extermination of humanity. Elphelt did not participate in this, but still feels guilty about it. 'Accessory' can also have a double meaning if the definition is stretched, as she was created by her mother explicitly to exterminate all of humanity and her mother treated her no differently than a possession for her to do with as she pleases.
Background: Wiki link.
Personality:
Being an artificial being whose personality was initially based on someone else's and then heavily modified and re-programmed by her mother, Elphelt's primary motivation and source of internal conflict is a Pinocchio complex, i.e. wanting to be a 'real' girl. Prior to being separated from her mother's influence, this was particularly bad, with her expressing unhealthy coping responses. Firstly, she displayed an inferiority complex whenever seeing another woman, comparing herself unfavorably to them and giving the impression she had doubts she could become a 'real' woman; secondly, whether consciously or unconsciously, she believed falling in love and getting married would make her a 'real' woman; thirdly, despite being contradictory with the second point, Elphelt would self-sabotage whenever she would get close to others (suddenly avoiding them, pushing them away by being overwhelming, etc.) under the belief that getting close to something like her would only hurt them. Elphelt's difficulty with dealing with her identity was made more difficult due to her personality being fake in more ways than one: she was programmed to have this personality, but it was designed with malicious intent by her mother for her to act as an unwitting mole within the main characters' group to spy and eventually attack from within; this personality was intended to be deleted once her mission was over and its purpose served, making her identity several layers of 'fake'.
Upon recently being separated from her mother and being surrounded by a supportive family, Elphelt has began to face her issues head-on rather than coping in self-destructive ways. In her own words, she is "rebelling against her old self". This does not mean outright rejecting everything about her past, but rather rejecting the ways in which she dealt with her identity. This is the core message of her theme song Extras, which is canonically written by herself and performed by her band. Instead of being overwhelmed by what she is and having no idea what she should do about it, she accepts that there is no clear answer as to how she should handle her situation:
♪ I'm still lost, but
♪ I'm on this path
♪ I don't know where to go
♪ I don't know how to keep up
♪ But don't get me wrong
♪ I'm having a great time
Having found a talent that she could put towards helping others (singing, songwriting, and performing) after a particularly depressing low point (after being saved from her mother, she attempted to help around the castle, only to constantly mess things up, which led to her running away), she finally has something to be confident about and something that she can put constructive effort into. It also allows her to make other people happy, which has been her one goal from the beginning, even knowing it was an urge implanted into her as part of a malicious plan and never intended to be a part of her 'real' personality, i.e. an emotionless killing machine. She has accepted that darker side of herself, which she expresses through her death metal. So, after being made with no agency, no confidence, and no hope, she is at the start of her journey of self improvement and self discovery, and even though she still has no idea what she is doing, she has learned to enjoy it.

Some miscellaneous things:
- Because she was created only recently but has been programmed with a wide variety of knowledge, she is essentially a very naive adult. She has general understandings of many things, but little to no firsthand experience.
- She is still, like, really thirsty even though she no longer ties romance/marriage with being a 'real' woman. It's not about self esteem now and just a genuine thirst. Or as genuine as something that was programmed into her can be.
- Her emotions swing wildly, probably due to being programmed by a being with only a tenuous grasp of how emotions work. She will cry one moment, be grumpy another, and then cheerful, all within a single conversation.
- She is unrelentingly optimistic and stubborn. It takes something of huge magnitude or someone more stubborn than her to get her down. Or her mother.
- She pretends to be a dog as a hobby. This has not been shown firsthand, only mentioned in her bio, and canon refuses to elaborate.
- She has a debilitating fear of arthropods. As this is shared between all the Valentines, this is likely a core memory from the one she was cloned from.
- She fears no one, except her mother. She hates no one, except her mother. She would kill no one, including her mother.
Abilities:
- Conjuring: Using her magic, she can essentially store items and manifest them at will. This includes her various weapons, but also items like a radio, papers, piggy bank, etc.
- Flight: She is capable of flight at high speeds.
- Strength and speed: Superhuman strength and speed; able to lift hundreds of pounds with ease and move quickly enough to be a blur.
- Durability and healing: Difficult to wound and, if wounded, capable of recovering quickly.
- Combat and marksmanship: Being made for large scale human extermination, she is highly capable in combat.
- Singing: She is skilled at singing, with a wide range.
- Self destruct: She can self destruct. This involves her, you know, dying so it has not happened before, but it is technically a thing she can do.
Inventory:
- Nougat, Charlotte, and Travailler: Advanced (and illegal) anti-Valentine magitech weapons. Handgun, rifle, and shotgun, respectively. Charlotte has been modified to double as both a microphone and sound system.
- Piggy bank: Her most prized possession. A piggy bank shaped like a south American bush dog.
- Indeterminate number of explosives: Defective and recalled battery-like devices that can be easily modified into explosives. Probably for pyrotechnics.
- Boombox: A magitech boombox, for playing music.
- Excessive number of flyers: Flyers advertising her band and performances.
- Clothes: Her current outfit (dress, jacket, etc), her wedding dresses (plural), and casual shirt and skirt. Probably others, but those are all that has been shown in canon.
