Maybe that one person close to you that you don't realize until the day of that they are the one you'd like to be your someone. Or maybe that one person you cross paths with on your daily commute, too timid to introduce yourself...

Anyway! Once you identify that someone you would like to make feel special and happy, and spend a day with, you offer chocolate as well as possibly flowers, a card, or something original depending on the person's likes. You ask them "will you be my valentine?" and they lock eyes with you and take you by the hand and say 'YES'.
...Or you can wait around for someone else to ask you to be their valentine, but gosh darn it, Penny, we are modern girls and it is well within our right to take the first step ourselves and be assertive, right?!
